Privacy policy.
Introduction
NaturistClubs.com (“the platform,” “we,” “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the clubs, members, and visitors who use it. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what choices you have.
We built this platform with privacy as a first principle, not as an afterthought. Naturism is a personal matter, and we take seriously our responsibility to handle information about this community with discretion and care.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us.
What we collect
From all visitors
When you browse the platform, we collect standard web server information: page requests, browser type and version, general geographic region (country or region, derived from IP address), and referral source. This data is used only for platform operation and improvement and is not linked to individual identities.
From club organizers (account holders)
- Name and email address
- Club name and primary location (city and state or region)
- Account activity within the platform
- Communications sent through the platform
From members via clubs
When a visitor applies to join a club or RSVPs for an event through the platform, information is submitted to that specific club. This may include:
- Name and contact information
- Application responses (questions set by the individual club)
- RSVP and attendance records
The information shared in a member application is controlled by the club, not by NaturistClubs.com. We store it on behalf of the club but do not use it for our own purposes.
Newsletter subscribers
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address. That's all.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the platform and its features
- Create and manage club and member accounts
- Send account-related communications, including setup instructions and security notices
- Send the newsletter to subscribers, with an unsubscribe option in every email
- Respond to support requests and inquiries
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use personal information to serve advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell or license information to third parties for marketing.
What we share
The short version: We don't sell personal information. We don't share it with advertisers. The exceptions are narrow and necessary.
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
With clubs
When a visitor submits an RSVP or membership application through the platform, their submitted information is shared with the relevant club. Only what was submitted is shared, and only with that club.
With service providers
We work with a small number of service providers to operate the platform: email delivery, hosting infrastructure, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements and may not use it for their own purposes.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to prevent fraud or illegal activity.
Business transfers
If NaturistClubs.com is acquired or merged with another company, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify account holders in advance and they will retain the right to delete their data.
Member privacy
We built specific protections for this community because we understand that participation in naturist activities is personal information that deserves extra care.
Venue addresses are never shown publicly. They are only released to people who have confirmed an RSVP or been approved for membership by the hosting club.
Attendee names and member counts are never visible in public listings. Who attends what events is private.
Member profiles are only visible within the club the member belongs to. Members control what information they share.
Application responses are only visible to the club that received them and are not shared across clubs.
We do not collect or store photographs of members or event attendees. Photography policies at individual events are set and enforced by the hosting club.
Security and data retention
Security
All data transmitted to and from the platform is encrypted using TLS. Passwords are stored using a one-way cryptographic hash; we cannot retrieve or read them. We do not store payment card data.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach affecting personal information, we will notify affected account holders as required by applicable law.
Retention
Account data is retained for as long as the account is active, plus a reasonable period to allow for data export and to comply with legal obligations. After an account is deleted, most personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregate or anonymized analytics data may be retained longer.
Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Inquiry and contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years.

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your account and associated data.
- Export: Download your data in a portable format.
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from the newsletter or other communications at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Objection: Object to certain uses of your information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days. If you believe we have not complied with your rights, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies and tracking
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- Session cookies: Required to keep you signed in during a browsing session. These expire when you close your browser.
- Preference cookies: Used to remember your display preferences. These are optional.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not place tracking pixels or use cross-site tracking technology. We do not share browsing data with advertising networks.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this will affect login functionality.
